I watched "The Departed" long back in theatre on the release day. I would like to highlight this film, since i love watching Martin Scorsese movies.
This film is about mole in Underworld vs FBI. -> as simple as it is and no spoilers. Rest watch the movie and enjoy it for yourself.

Both these movies has some amazing performance from all the actors. Oh my!!! Is that Robert De Niro and Jodie Foster on Taxi Driver?? Yes it is, but truly Unbelievable.
Believe me Taxi Driver got released in 1976 and departed 2006. Still Martin Scorsese is #1 movie maker with panache.
Both these movies are masterpiece.

It is obvious from your post that ,you are big fan of Martin Scorsese.
But i guess you haven't seen Pursuit of happyness.dude! you should just watch it.if you are an unbiased film watcher .you will definitely like it.
and as for departed it got Oscar defeating Pursuit of happyness so it should be better ,i haven't watched it so cannot say more about departed.
